About the event
The Chico State Nursing Club noticed a gap in support for the huge pre-nursing population at California State University, Chico, so we decided to step up and fill this gap. This is our pitch to our pre-nursing students:
Are you a pre-nursing student? Stressing about those prerequisites? Worried that you haven't learned enough about Chico State's nursing program? Well worry no more. Chico State's Nursing Club is hosting the first annual Pre-Nursing Conference to help guide you to success!
Learn about the nursing program and how to apply, learn how to pass the TEAS, go on a nursing school tour, listen to amazing nursing student experiences and much more! Interact and get to know the nursing administration as well as current students in the nursing program. This is an opportunity you will not want to miss. - 8:30 am to 9:00 am - Registration
- 9:00 am to 9:30 am - Intro: "Welcome to the Nursing World"
- 9:30 am to 10:00 am - Keynote Speaker
- 10:15 am to 10:45 am - 1st Round of Breakout Sessions
- 11:00 am to 11:30 am - 2nd Round of Breakout Sessions
- 11:45 am to 12:15 pm - 3rd Round of Breakout Sessions
- 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm - Lunch (Provided)
- 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm - Endnote Speaker
- 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm - Closing
Why should you sponsor?
WE HAVE 3 MAIN GOALS!
- Provide Lunch - we have an estimated cost of ~$600 to provide lunch for our event
- Printing & Supplies - the cost of printing schdules, posters, and flyers for the event
- Apparel - club shirts will be used through out the event & throughout the school year. Shirts will be used for other club events and just for general use.
Left over revenue will be used to support future events and meeting throughout the year.
Jon GurrolaOur mission is to connect Nursing students to Pre-Nursing students at California State University, Chico, to assist Pre-Nursing students' successful transition into the School of Nursing. We aim to provide students with informal spaces to develop social bonds and a mentorship through their journey. We aim to create opportunities to participate in a nursing network which shares information and experiences.
