About the event

Doug Macdonald is a passionate advocate of societal reintegration for veterans and anyone that had to deal with a traumatic change in life.

Doug's experience of going from a professional Golfer / Entrepreneur to a “uniquely abled” individual restricted to a wheelchair, in a period of 5 years, allows him to relate to the obstacles & changes trauma brings to life.Doug's vast wealth of experiential knowledge, communication skills & deep beliefs brings a unique perspective to inspire individuals to find their passion in life no matter what the obstacles.

Doug's experiences include, but are not limited to, 8 years as a C-Suite Level Executive with a fortune 50 corporation, developing, managing, building and selling 5 businesses including a restaurant, executive business center franchise and an investment firm.He also was a Touring P.G.A . Professional, Head Golf Professional / teacher and Membership Director for The Old Course Golf & Country Club in St. Andrews, Scotland.

Doug graduated Florida State University with a B.S. in Political Science.He is the thankful proud father to two sons Callum 21 & John 25.To relax Doug enjoys sports fishing with his 2 sons.Doug is a born and raised Floridian.

This miraculous inspirational journey began in 2008 when Doug hit a shot in his clubs Super Bowl Tournament and collapsed unconscious.This was 3 weeks before his first Senior P.G.A. Tour event.That had been Doug's life long passion.
