About the event

Poetry and You is a competition where the act of poetry recital is the subject to battle with on social media. This concept is in essence, like any other Reality show we have witnessed in the past, but this time it would be focused on the art of poetry, in its varied forms and presentation styles, from reading to performance, bridging the page and the stage. This is Poetry  on a virtual platform. (Facebook)

Why should you sponsor?

Poetry as an academic endeavor, and especially as an art form and mode of expression, is fast regaining prominence across Africa and the world, and Ghana has not been left out. In recent years, many young people have identified their talents in this field and few have been able to exploit it to prominent proportions and even commercialized it. Though there are efforts in small pockets to popularize and share the art form of poetry, Poetry and You would be the biggest avenue in recent history in Ghana, to reach every facet of society with the art of poetry and to help unearth and groom more literary talents in Ghana and to also help promote a reading culture.

I am an HND Holder from the London center of Marketing,

My background includes serving as a Marketer/Customer service associate within both formal and informal sector environments.

Most recently I worked as a Marketing Manager in an oil firm where my responsibilities included getting new clients on board, handling customer portfolio, overseeing delivery and providing necessary training to new recruits.

Per my 16 years  experience, I serve as a facilitator when it comes organizational trainning.

I am proactive with the ability to commit to team environment dynamics and follow leadership directives at appropriate times.
