Pit Bull Appreciation Day (PBAD) is a day-long event where we celebrate, pamper, and educate about our favorite pit bull type dogs. The purpose of this event is to raise positive awareness about pit bulls and responsible dog ownership.
There will be food trucks, music, vendors, and activities for everyone. Last year, we hosted over 300 attendees and 35+ vendors, rescues, and advocacy organizations. This year is shaping up to be even bigger! Please check back soon for a full list of vendors and activity schedule.
PBAD is a FREE family-friendly community event and open to the public. Well-managed, leashed dogs of ALL breeds are welcome.
Why should you sponsor?
Pit Bull Appreciation Day DC is hosted by non-profit 501c3 designated partners who rescue, advocate for, and education about dogs and responsible ownership. This event strives to make a difference in the community's perceptions and address stereotypes about pit bulls and their responsible owners. The movement to raise awareness about pit bulls and re-establish their reputation as family companions has gained significant momentum within the past several years, but there is so much work to be done. Your sponsorship benefits rescues and advocacy groups that rely solely on donations to continue their education and rescue efforts.
