About the event
As one of the oldest fine art fairs in the country, the Peoria Art Guild Fine Art Fair draws an anticipated attendance of 8,000 -10,000. It's nationally recognized for its organization, volunteers, event marketing, and unlike most fairs, for putting artists' needs at the top of the priority list. When an art fair is located in the heart of the Midwest, in the middle of the state of Illinois, and 150 miles from a large metropolitan city, you work harder to retain the reputation -- and our loyal committee and sponsors are dedicated to the goal. As the winner of the Peoria Magazine's "Best of Peoria 2021/Best Community Event", our efforts have paid off. The Fine Art Fair has also been published in the prestigious rankings of art fair rating sources. Most recently, the Fair was ranked #2 in the Top 5 Midwestern Art Fairs in the USA. It was also ranked #20 in the "Top 200" by Sunshine Artist, and placed in the "Top 50" nationally by Art Fair Calendar. The Fine Art Fair is not only the largest art event in Central Illinois, but is a popular community and family event that showcases quality art, music, food, and hands-on art activities for kids and adults.

The Economic Impact of the Fine Art Fair was $300,420* in 2022 according to calculations by the Peoria Conventions and Visitors Bureau. It is estimated that there were an estimated 1,088 overnight stays in Peoria and the average meal purchases in our community over the weekend were $52,594. The average shopping in the community was estimated at $41,835 with recreation purchases at $34,482. The estimated local taxes generated were $24,437. Soon the Art Guild will be installing the 2022 Community Mural to replace the 2021 mural on the 400 block of SW Washington Street. The Peoria Art Guild is thrilled to be able to offer this event to the community and make such a significant economic impact on our local economy.
Nikki WheelerMEET OUR FINE ART FAIR DIRECTORS! Shannon Cox and Nikki Wheeler are C0-Directing the 2021 Peoria Art Guild Fine Art Fair. They have been working non-stop this year to provide the Peoria community with another outstanding Fair.
Shannon is also the Executive Director of the Peoria Art Guild. She is a big supporter of the benefits of the arts in our region. Her passion is ignited by collaborating with artists and organizations to connect the community.
Nikki is also Director of Education at the Peoria Art Guild. She is passionate about both visual and performing arts and is dedicated to seeing them thrive in the Peoria area. She is a supporter of artists of all ages and levels and strives to bring opportunities for artistic growth to the region.
