  • About the event

    Xavier Ford is a Colorado Springs, Colorado native and Harrison High School graduate. He was a parade All-American as a basketball player and played four years at the University of Buffalo which included, leading the team to a NCAA tournament birth. He has a great personal story about overcoming challenges and working hard to find success. Xavier is holding this camp to share his story and to give back to the community. 

    The partnership between Xavier and Peak City Athletics has developed to help positively impact basketball culture in Colorado Springs, Co. The goal of the camp is to expose athletes to the type of work ethic and competitive nature that must be developed to compete at the highest level. 

    Xavier currently plays for the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBADL and he will participate in the 2016 NBA Summer League as he works to accomplish his dream of playing in the NBA.

    Peak City Athletics is a multi-faceted sports company founded in 2015. Its members include Jeffery Cooks, Jamil Cooks, and Michael Lyons. Peak City was created to enhance the sports culture in Colorado Springs, Co. Peak City recognizes that Colorado sports are undervalued so it is our mission to put the national spotlight on the state. By doing this we hope to illustrate the talent of the athletes the state has to offer while involving the community.

    We focus on athletic events including training, tournaments, and camps. We are also heavily involved in community service and will for the first time this year offer the Peak City Scholarship to a deserving high school student that overcomes challenges to perform at a high level academically.
