Ovaries before Brovaries is a workshop for teen girls ages 14 to 19 that addresses important areas of teenage health and wellbeing in a fun, social atmosphere set up for teen girls to “hang out” while learning and having a good time together.

Ovaries before Brovaries workshops provide educational information on teenage health and wellness, body image, self-care, and self-respect. During this stage of individuation from their parents and increasing reliance on their own social networks, teen girls have a need to listen and learn from the right adults with real information and positive messages.

Ovaries before Brovaries provides the venue for just that. Approximately 75-100 teen girls spend a Saturday evening together from the moment they walk in and have “mocktails” and a “spooey bar” until they leave armed with solid information and happy memories. The evening topics include sex and relationships, body image and individual beauty, anonymous Q &A session about bodies and sex, and emotions, depression, and anxiety.
