open-MIND,

Guwahati, Assam, India Guwahati, Assam, India

  • About the event

    Respected sir/ma'am,

I hope you are doing well. I would like to request you for sponsorship for an event of Girl Up Amoyan, a campaign under the Girl Up Campaign where we basically try to uplift girls who want to Respected go to the fields of Sports, e-sports, stand-up Comedy and Online streaming. We want to reduce gender inequality in this particular fields also we try to focus on other fields as well but we try to give some more emphasis on this particular topic.

We are thinking of organising an event which will basically be an open mic event and there will be slam poetry, narration and songs specifically on women's rights. We will also be having a session where all the women present in the place can talk openly about all the issues a woman has been facing since ages. They can also speak up about their personal experiences if they have any, fearlessly. Then we are thinking of launching a project under the board of Girl Up Amoyan where our club members will visit an orphanage every week and try to spend time and teach them about various other things like singing, dancing, beat-boxing, origami, painting, tabla and guitar. We believe that even they have the right to learn things apart from books and hence, we will also try to expand with this project and we won't be charging anything from the particular organisation. All we will be asking is some time from those precious kids.

We also are thinking of inviting a board of guests to launch the project for that specific day.

Since we are a student-led club, we may not be able to do it alone and thus, we are asking for your help.

We really hope that you consider this!!

    Regards,

    Sulakshana Saikia.
