Open House Fundraiser,

About the event

Our Open House event raises funds each year to support the horses basic needs and care, as well as maintenancing the facility and promoting adoption events to find the horses loving forever homes.  The more homes we are able to find the more additional horses we can pull from the slaughter line.

Why should you sponsor?

New Trails Rescue Inc is an equine rehabilitation non-profit 501c3 focused on the recovery of equines in danger of shipping to slaughter in Mexico and Canada. Rehabilitated equines are promoted for adoption under a no auction, no kill contract and those who are not able to be adopted are kept as sanctuary equines for their remaining life. New Trails will assist in rescuing any horse that finds itself in need and will also take in surrenders that need to be rehomed.

New Trails is run by my husband and myself.  We both grew up riding horses and actually met while volunteering for a boarding facility.  We started New Trails after we realized the immense and overwhelming need of horses that are going to auction and being bought for slaughter.  We believe whole heartedly that there has to be a better way to give these horses a retirement that they deserve with love and care until their days here are over.
