About the event

Canadian College Cricket was founded by students at Ryerson University. Since then,it has hosted international, national and provincial-level cricket tournaments.

CCC has worked with its member schools to host their independent inter-university cricket series. CCC also assists in creating and maintaining a Cricket team/Club at Universitie

CCC is hosting the first ever Ontario Championship! 8 teams from Ontario are coming together to compete to take the title! The tournament will be taking place at Ryerson University on January 7th, 2017

Hassan Mirza

Hassan Mirza is an enthusiastic cricketer who has been serving the game of Cricket in the GTA for more than a decade. Hassan’s ambition is not only to make a difference in Canadian Cricket but also to promote Cricket amongst youth (i.e. College/University, high school, and elementary level) of Canada. Through Cricket, one of the most played games around the world, Hassan aims to achieve diversity and inclusiveness throughout our Canadian communities.

As an avid cricketer, Hassan is the Founder & President of Canadian College Cricket(CCC) http://www.canadiancollegecricket.ca . Having found a strong demographic for Cricket within the GTA, Hassan has established CCC as a channel for various college/university athletes to showcase their talent. This organization serves as a platform for post-secondary students to pursue their education as well as their passion for cricket.

He also served as the Board Member & Director of Cricket Development for North America’s biggest cricket league, Toronto & District Cricket Association. Hassan is involved with all facets of high-profile cricket within Canada. He has also built strong relations with other leagues in North America and has helped develop several junior and senior programs. He is a talented cricketer who has played for various Elite Cricket teams and showcased his passion for the game alongside professional Canadian National cricketers from Cricket Canada. He has also served the game as a coach, organizer, and Ambassador throughout the GTA and North America.

University and works for Bell Canada as a Client Relations Team Consultant. He is also a Bell Ambassador and is actively involved in developing, organizing and managing different events within and outside the organization.
