Birmingham, England, United Kingdom Birmingham, England, United Kingdom

  • About the event

Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in economic development and the wider eco-system of firms in the UK and remains a major source of net job creation. Thus a sound business environment and a well-functioning entrepreneurial “eco-system” for business matter to foster participation of SMEs and entrepreneurs. In addition, entrepreneurial opportunities represent an important channel for economic and social participation and upward mobility, by allowing entrepreneurs, disadvantaged or marginalized groups, including young people, women, migrants, diasporas, ethnic minorities and the disabled, to create their own opportunities to participate in the economy. However, many African and black entrepreneurs and SMEs continues to face a mix of challenges which inhibit their positive participation and contribution in the UK economy.

Join us at our next business networking in Birmingham as we discuss and identify innovative solutions and ideas to accelerate the success of African small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Midlands, connect and enhance social economic circles with like minded professionals, entrepreneurs and business leaders.
