  • About the event

    Ohio Steps seeks to host an inaugural event in 2016 for our target demographic. Based on the initial interest of the venue and dance community, we plan to annualized the event and increase our online presence.


    Ohio Steps strives to create inclusive, memorable and welcoming experiences for steppers. We seek to highlight the beauty and art of urban ballroom available in each major Ohio city. This will be accomplished through the promotion of ballroom dancing via event planning, sponsorship and attendance. We will also leverage local and national vendors to create premier experiences for our target demographic which is over 500 strong in Ohio and over 10,000 strong across the nation.


    This specific event will take place the same weekend as the Cincinnati Music Festival. There will be over 25,000 attending this two day evening event. Because there is limited entertainment for steppers during these two days, we seek to host a day party to welcome them and provide them a memorable daytime source of entertainment. In addition, we hope to create favor bags with products from sponsors that fit our demographic:

    • 35-60 year old professionals, diverse
    • Working/retired
    • Active, travelers
    • Social drinkers
    • Sophisticated
    • Fashion conscious


    Your support will allow the audience to be treated to a top tier event that can be replicated time after time. In return, your company will receive exposure to over 5,000 steppers nationwide through social media site, event collateral and flyers.


    As of 2/11/16, the event has been posted for a week on Facebook to several site including:

    Toledo Dance Community - 300 members

    Columbus Upscale Steppers - 2200 members

    Midwest Affair - 200 members

    Chicago Steppin' Experience - 1800 members

    Steppers of Detroit and Beyond - 400 members


    There are currently 80 interested or going per the event page w/ another 100 invited. Once tickets go on sale, our marketing will pick up.
