    AJ Khan is a serial entrepreneur, who has over 15 years of experience and expertise in start-ups, innovation, emerging technologies, international business development and strategic management. He has established and worked with multiple start-ups in Europe, Middle East and North America. These include start-ups in the field of Training and Development, IT Consulting, Innovation, IT Security, Digital Media and Business Process Outsourcing. 

    AJ has done his MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the prestigious Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.  AJ is passionate about Innovation and believes that the best way to add value to a society is to foster commercialization of new technology and enable the success and growth of start-ups to create new jobs. To further this objective, he is currently involved in multiple initiatives including beings a founder of international Institute of Certified Innovators and Entrepreneurs (IICIE), and being a member of the IICIE International Advisory Board.

     AJ is currently working with many different organizations, both inside and outside Canada, which foster entrepreneurship through various initiatives.  A major focus of his work is to help start-ups achieve global growth and become a successful global start-up.

    As Head of Applied Innovation, Elfreda is responsible for leading the creation and execution of a portfolio of innovative concepts that create value for RBC's business units. Her team has an enterprise-wide mandate to stimulate innovative activity. With a view to "what's next", "what's new" and "what's different", the Applied Innovation Team identifies and validates emerging technologies and opportunities that have the potential to drive client value and differentiate RBC from its competitors. Elfreda is also a member of the Innovation & Strategic Planning senior management team that operates within RBC's Technology & Operations unit.

    In her 20+ years at RBC, Elfreda has been involved in leading several innovation projects and programs within the Retail Banking, Technology & Operations, Corporate Real Estate and Head Office divisions; including developing one of the first hackathons run by a financial institution in North America.
