About the event

A highlight of Cambridge’s famous May Week celebrations is Newnham College June Event, taking place on 16th June 2020. Newnham College June Event is one of the most anticipated and highly publicized events in the May Week Calendar.Hosting around 1100 guests, our event aims to celebrate what makes the Cambridge university experience so unique and everything which encapsulates the beautiful city in which students live and study. Newnham College June Event therefore offers a special publicity opportunity to engage with the diverse audience of Cambridge students which this event attracts, as well as a number of postgraduates and considerable alumni community. 

We are also very excited to be working with local charities alongside the event. Although our event aims to celebrate the highlights of Cambridge, we feel that it is also important to raise awareness of the hardships faced within the city and to come together as a student body to try to help these issues. Therefore, we are proud to be working with the homelessness charity Winter Comfort Cambridge and will be raising money for this charity through the event. 

Our main aim is to maximize the sustainability of our event in order to minimize the environmental impact of the ball. We are aiming to work with local businesses to make our event as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible.
