About the event
My event is about creating a safe place for communities of all races to come together in unity. There are so many shootings and deaths related to gang violencec amongst young adults and youth. My goal is to showcase more positive alternatives to keep our youth from going down the path of drugs, underage drinking and gang violence.
This event will have performances by a few high school cultural programs, and well as community cultural groups. There will be food and retail vendors, as well as informaitonal booths that offer services to communities, families and youth who need resources that are in their communities. There will be performances buy local bands, as well as out of state bands. I will also have a car show. The car show will feature custom "built not bought" rides.
My hope is to influence the youth to steer towards some of these programs. These days kids are easily influenced, and with more events, such as mine, I have high hopes that this will work!
Why should you sponsor?
A Sponsor should support my event because it will bring attention to them and their willingness to provide a service to better our children, families and communities. Sponsoring an event like mine, will definetly shed light on the heart these sponsors have. Just like politics, if you show you are for the people you tend to get more support and followers.
Our next generation literally holds the key to our future. If we take a stand now and try to implement change, the outcome of what our future looks like could be positively impacted.
Rayven Kailiehu-FaaifoI am a mother of 8, born and raised in Hawaii, then moved to Washington State to pursue a change where my children would benefit and not watch us struggle pay check to paycheck. I've always had a heart of service, and giving back or assisting with very important issues within the community has always been my drive. Once I moved here I was very saddened to hear how many children are losing their lives to the street life. As a mother with children in highschool, this scared the crap out of me!!!! If I can bring culture and practices from back home into these communities, I can make a positive change for our next generation.
