About the event

We are a newly registered student organization at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, which focuses on attracting undergraduate students to pursue careers in research and connecting them with women researchers on campus. We are currently planning our first annual networking event, which will bring together our members with alumni, professors, researchers and graduate students. We hope this event will further inspire our members to pursue a career in research as well as connect them to potential laboratory opportunities and mentors.

The money we raise will go towards funding our Networking Event which is scheduled for the end of March. Funds will be used for the event's administrative costs as well as creating a small scholarship given randomly to an attending club member.

We are looking for money to sponsor a scholarship and we will promote the organization that donated it. We will be making a Networking Event brochure with all of the scientists attending; we are looking to adding sponsors and promoting businesses with that brochure. We are open to building with relationships with various organizations and are open to sponsored organizations speaking at our general meetings to recruit for jobs and career opportunities, being featured in our bi-weekly newsletter that is sent out to all members, and being promoted on our Student Org website.
