National Collegiate Research Conference @ Harvard University ,

Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States

  • About the event

The National Collegiate Research Conference (NCRC) is the major annual event held by the Harvard College Undergraduate Research Association (HCURA), the premier research organization at Harvard.

Every year, NCRC selects 200 of the nation’s most accomplished undergraduates from over 60 universities across the nation to present their research to esteemed leaders in their fields and learn from these leaders through an array of talks, panels and workshops. Past speakers include Stephen Wolfram (Founder of Wolfram Research and Mathematica), Robert Langer (Father of tissue engineering and most cited engineer in history), Marcia McNutt (Editor in Chief of Science), Alfred Spector (VP of Research for Google), Robert Gallo (discovered that HIV was responsible for AIDS), Abby Fichtner (Creator of Hack Boston), and numerous Nobel Prize Laureates.

We provide a variety of monetary awards for the top research projects. We also host the Innovation Challenge, a collaborative, problem solving activity that spans the length of the conference and forces participants to use their diverse skill sets to tackle the most pressing global issues today.

In addition, we organize a career fair during the conference to connect companies with students who will become the country’s top scientists, creative thinkers, global activists, and engineers. This is a fantastic opportunity to establish relations with the Harvard community as well as build new connections with the 60+ participating universities. Most of these students are juniors and seniors looking for jobs/internships, so this is an excellent national-level recruitment opportunity.
