Over the past year we’ve seen some huge political shifts – here in the UK with Brexit, in the US with the election of President Trump, and around the globe. In a world that feels increasingly unpredictable we need our political leaders to stand up and show that one thing is non-negotiable – the human values of equality, fairness and compassion that define British society.
These shared values mean looking outwards. They mean committing to using our voice.
Nasty Women Exhibition: London thrives to help individuals use their voice through the expression of the arts, working with the fantastic Creative Debuts to promote new emerging feminist artists, photographers, video makers and much much more!
Have your voice heard within the heart of the arts! At the Black and White Building, Shoreditch and contribute to raising awareness for Rape Crisis UK and Women for Women International.
This is a charity event and every penny counts to help those in need. I have set up this exhibition through my own personal experiences and I want to help as many people as I can as I dont want anyone to experience what I had.
We need your help to be able to help others!
This event is for selling artworks from artists who are contributing their feminist art to raise awareness for women.
This could be for women who are currently going through court precedures from being a victim of rape, money raised will go to rape crisis uk who work with victims to support them while they go through the court process which is one of the most difficult things anyone could go through, the victim should not feel like a criminal.
Women who are going through domestic abuse and need to get out. Money raised will also go to women for women, a charity supporting women worldwide, Nasty Women: London aim to support women internationally just like the exhibition itself which established in New York.
I am a photographer and curator based in London. My work reflects upon the theme of feminism and the campaign of women rights.
After holding a variety of exhibitions is when I found I enjoyed curating. After viewing the Nasty Women Exhibition works held all over the world, this is when I decided on Nasty Women London and to make it a success for artists and also raising awareness for Rape Crisis England and Women For Women.
me and my team are seeking for sponsorship to make this charity event possible, its going to be huge!
