Tennessee State University is set to fulfill a promising future as we boldly embark on a new century of academic excellence, scholarly research and service. Our partnership with Insider Management, an Entertainment company in Nashville, Tennessee, with our second annual Music City Industry Summit (MCIS), will allow participants to gain knowledge from the academic perspective of every aspect of the entertainment industry while allowing attendees and participants full access, tools, and knowledge to
grow successfully in both business and in art.
The Music City Industry Summit (MCIS) will be centered around providing the student body endless opportunities to gain hands-on experience in their fields of study while earning their degree. This will also allow Tennessee State University to attract more students to the university, help retain students, and create new revenue streams for the university. MCIS 's ultimate goal is to bridge academics to the industry, create opportunities for internships and jobs, and award scholarships. The Summit will provide a more in-depth look into all fields of entertainment and help provide a solid platform to make steady progression for
those individuals who desire a career as an artist, actor, actress, manager, producer, engineer,
entertainment lawyer, songwriter, scriptwriter, publisher, or a career in related fields. This partnership will also showcase the positive and powerful impact that Tennessee State University has with the community
by providing today's workforce with more than capable and fully prepared business professionals.
