About the event
Founded in 2013, Mr and Miss Nigeria UK was created to bring together those of Nigerian descent, both living in the UK and in the Motherland. The aim of the event is to embody the meaning of what it is to be Nigerian. Unity & faith, Peace & Progress are the words printed on our coat of arms and should be the words that we aim to live by. A team of budding young graduates and students, this pageant aims to add an element of youth and fun to the event.
"We want everyone involved to feel like they have achieved something great and encourage young people to work hard and succeed in their hopes and dreams."
The beauty pageant will encourage contestants to embrace their heritage and learn what it means to truly represent their country. The main focus of the event is to get the winning contestants working very closely with Nigerian based charities, making a change to the way Nigeria is seen by many. By encouraging the contestants to work together and build each other’s character we are showing them how to be successful and encouraging to others. We want everyone who participates in the event to feel like they are walking away a winner even if they do not officially have the crown.
The event also welcomes people of other decent and race to get involved in supporting the unity of people of diversity, the contestants will have to be of Nigerian decent but attendees are welcome from all over the globe.Why should you sponsor?
