My name is Simone, I am a 23 year old boy and I am attending the first year of master's degree in contemporary art history in Venice. I'm working on the idea of offering a photographic installation, an art exhibition dedicated to young artists. Their shots, despite the lack of a celebrity signed by the author, reflect their passion for the material, a link with art that has nothing to do with craftsmanship; this means that there is real aesthetic research in the work.
The concept of the exhibition is to recall Douglas Crimp's "Pictures Generation", which presents the photographer of the caliber of Robert Longo, Sherrie Levine, Louise Lawler and Barbara Kruger, and dispel Baudelaire's thesis according to which there is no art in the moment in which nature is mirrored and especially photography, one of its sayings, is the "gym of the missed painters".
I am looking for people ready to support the realization of this exhibition, those who believe in the talent of young photographers and those who place their trust in a curator at his first practical experience.
Financial support will be used to cover the costs of printing flyers, the rental of the property and the cost of purchasing the works.
The exhibition will be temporary, with free admission, in the autumn / winter 2020 season.
