The Mikadu Newcomer Festival will take place on August 23, 2025 in Munich and is expecting 300 to 350 guests. The aim is to offer newcomers from the fields of music, art and design a platform to present themselves, network and gain industry experience.
In addition to live music, photography, digital design and tattoo art will also be represented. The event will remain non-commercial, so the artists will not be paid a fee, but we will support them with logistics, marketing and professional experience. Musicians also have the opportunity to sell their merch on site.

Someone should sponsor the Mikadu Newcomer Festival because it’s more than just an event – it’s an investment in the future of a more inclusive, diverse, and sustainable creative industry. Here’s why:
1. Authentic impact and social responsibility
Sponsoring Mikadu means actively supporting emerging talents – especially those from marginalized communities – at a critical point in their careers. It’s a concrete way to show a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, which are increasingly expected by audiences and consumers.
2. Strong values and clear vision
With a FLINTA*-led team, a focus on tolerance, accessibility, and representation, and a non-commercial structure, Mikadu is grounded in values that matter. Sponsors become part of a movement that is helping reshape the creative scene with intention and care.
3. Targeted, engaged audience
With 300–350 guests expected from the music, art, and design world, the festival attracts a creative, forward-thinking, and socially conscious audience – ideal for brands aiming to connect with younger generations and cultural communities.
4. Positive brand association
By sponsoring Mikadu, a brand publicly supports diversity, safer and more equitable creative spaces, and long-term cultural change. This kind of support strengthens reputation, community trust, and social value.
5. Unique exposure opportunities
Sponsors gain access to authentic marketing experiences, from on-site branding and artist partnerships to digital content and social media reach – all within a meaningful and community-focused setting.
In short, sponsoring Mikadu is not just about visibility – it’s about taking a stand for a creative future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
We are the organizing team behind the Mikadu Newcomer Festival, taking place on August 23, 2025 in Munich. Our core mission is to provide a non-commercial platform for emerging talents in music, art, and design – especially those who are often underrepresented in the industry.
What sets us apart is not only our focus on diversity, inclusion, and accessibility, but also the people behind the project: a FLINTA*-led team with a deep understanding of the barriers newcomers face. We are artists, creatives, and cultural workers ourselves – and we’ve built this event from the ground up to reflect the kind of music scene we believe in: safe, diverse, and free of discrimination.
Our commitment goes beyond good intentions:
– We support our artists with logistics, marketing, and professional opportunities
– Ensure a diverse line-up featuring female-read and queer artists
– Create a barrier-free and expressive space for both performers and audience members
– And work towards long-term change by building a visible and sustainable network of new voices
You can trust us because this is more than an event to us – it’s a movement toward an inclusive future in the music and art scene. We are organized, passionate, and deeply rooted in the values we promote. Your support would not just back a festival, but help shape a better creative industry from the ground up.
