Aberdeen University Medical Society Presents: The Enchanted Forest Ball
The University of Aberdeen's Medical Society is both the oldest and largest student society in Aberdeen, with total membership surpassing 700 members and over 1,900 likes on our Facebook page, with top posts reaching over 41,000 people.
For the past 103 years we have hosted the social highlight of the year for students and doctors alike, and this year we are proud to announce that it will once again be held at Aberdeen's only five star hotel, The Marcliffe.
This year MedSoc invites you to delve into the dark woodland and join us for a venerable feast in the forest. Piped through the doors in a traditionally Scottish manner, grab your champagne on arrival and follow through moss smothered corridors and under archways of willow and ivy into our main forest clearing, where dinner will be served. Magical entertainment will ensue all night long, not forgetting our famous raffle, where top prizes have previously included cases of Champagne and luxury night stays at some of Aberdeen's best venues, with money this year being donated to the amazing Archie Foundation.
Of course no Ball would be complete without a ceilidh (just make sure you don't strip any of the real willow trees).
The Ball will take place on Saturday 20th February, from 7pm until late. With an estimated attendance, based on previous years, of 600+ people this is an excellent way for sponsors to advertise themselves to both future and current doctors. In the past our sponsors have included national indemnity companies, such as MDU, and the British Medical Association, however this year we are hoping to widen our range of sponsors. Gathering support for this event is extremely important for us, and we would ensure that any sponsor received the publicity and thanks that they deserve.

We are looking for a wine sponsor to provide up to 200 bottles of wine and up to 100 bottle of Champagne, Prosecco or Sparkling Wine. This would be an excellent way to advertise a brand of wine to over 600 current and future doctors and we would display placards and signs on each table advertising the sponsor's brand. Sponsors would also be dutifully thanked in our speeches.

Any donation of a prize for our raffle would be appreciated. Prizes would be displayed throughout the night and companies thanked in speeches and during the drawing of our raffle. All proceeds are being donated to the Archie Foundation, working with the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital.
