Mana Game Changers Charity Rugby Team Asia Centre Foundation Tour to Phuket 10s,

Phuket, Phuket, Thailand Phuket, Phuket, Thailand

  • About the event

Mana Game Changers is a charity team that will travel the world entering rugby events, and through the power of sport will raise funds and awareness to alleviate child poverty, health, protection, education and hunger.

Our aim is to support key projects within schools, Hospitals, hospices and orphanages not just by handing out cheques but giving hands on assistance.

According to a report by UNICEF there are almost 25million children estimated to be living on the streets and slums across Asia.

Inspired by a recent trip to Bangkok, Dale was one of the sponsors of team of ex-international rugby players and support staff who attended the bangkok 10s helped raise money for a local charity The Mercy Centre#

The Mercy Centre is a shelter for street kids, five orphanages, a hospice, a home for mothers and children with HIV/AIDS, a 400-pupil kindergarten, a community meeting place, and a serene haven set in the slums with small gardens and playgrounds.

The Mercy Centre has stood in some shape or form for nearly 40 years. In 2000, it was rebuilt through a generous gift expanding their services
to orphans, street children, and children with HIV/AIDS; a cheque was presented to the centre in excess of £5k.

For more information on the centre please visit www.mercycentre.org

To kick off 2018 Mana Game Changers are fielding a team at the Phuket 10s. Founded in 1998 the Phuket 10s has grown to be one of the most competitive 10s events on the Asia circuit.

Mana Game Changers along with the event will be supporting the Asia Centre Foundation (ACF). ACF is a christian charity registered as a Non
Government Organization (NGO) on Phuket, Thailand in operation since 2002.

For more information on the foundation please visit www.asiacenterfoubdation.org

    Why should you sponsor?

Mana Game Changers through the power of the sporting community will raise awareness and much needed funds for the communities where the play. Not only will the raise funds through various means, but they will visit the centres, foundations, Hospitals and Schools.

We will also aim to mobilise Doctors and Nurses with the team and support aidf projects during our time away.

Its not all about presenting a cheque, offering time and energy is priceless..
