Luna Di Maggio - Project description

A deep and strong passion for neoclassical mussic – that is what accompanies Daisy alias Madame Paquerette since years and what gave her the idea and the energy to set up an event to worship three of her favourite bands. Ataraxia from Modena, Rosarubea from Milan and Corde Oblique from Naples. This idea was developed over the years. Daisy went to see Ataraxia in concerts for thirteen times in ten years all over Europe, like Italy (of course), Spain, Portugal, France… Every time they dreamt up an event in Berlin, as Ataraxia never have been to Berlin ever. Finally in 2008 Daisy, who has been working for the Duncker Club in Berlin for more than ten years, invited Ataraxia to play a small concert in her second home. The exclusive performance based on their album “Kremasta Nera” (released 2009) was perceived from the Berlin audience with gratitude. But the lust was not stilled yet. When Daisy went to see Ataraxia again at the IN FOLK NOCTIS festival in Milan in 2013 the project idea was born again.

Happily Daisy was able to gain a beautiful concert location – Gotischer Saal, a historical protected building from the year 1869 with original neogothic architecture, which is seated central in Berlin. The athmosphere is amazing and and giving the event the perfect surrounding. The title of the festival “Luna Di Maggio” was chosen as the mantle of the romantic ideas of Italian neoclassical music and the month of May, which is full of hopes and exiting fresh energy.

Daisy proposed tow more bands for the festival – Rosarubea and Corde Oblique, who agreed to come and to play too, immediately and gratefully. Both bands never had the chance to play in Berlin before. Ataraxia will be presenting songs from their long awaited new album „Wind at Mount Elo“ and Rosarubea, the multimedial project of the former singer of Camerata Mediolanense Daniela Bedeski will be presenting songs from their new album "Chrysalide".

As she is a private person and organizes this festival as a fan, to give other Berliners the chance to see their beloved bands from the Mediterranean country too, she has no financial back up and thus is kindly asking for support. All the flights for the bands and the instruments, the hotel rooms and technical needs have to be paid in advance. Daisy can offer to put your logo on the flyer and name the label in the advertisement. She would be very happy to have aroused your interest and waits for your positive answer.
