About the event

The Local Leaders Awards (LLA2016) are launching this summer to celebrate and recognise the achievements of leaders and managers from Birmingham’s Third Sector and The Future Leaders Club invites you to become a sponsor.
The Future Leaders Club, a social enterprise established in January 2015, provided a host of leadership development events and workshops to Birmingham citizens. This award ceremony forms part of the Future Leaders Club’s Ventures programme. The Ventures are community-based initiatives and projects designed to shape and strengthen Birmingham’s future, through innovation and collaboration.
Why
Great leaders and volunteers keep Birmingham’s Third Sector organisations providing for thousands across our city. Without them, many citizens of Birmingham who rely on charities would go without a vital necessity in their lives. They lead and manage with commitment, compassion, care and courage, inspiring others whilst creating kind and fruitful communities.
Birmingham’s Third Sector, which includes charities, social enterprises, voluntary and other not-for-profit organisations, have faced multiple challenges over the past few years. Despite this, they progressively drive the local and national economy, thanks to their efforts.
We believe these leaders and managers need recognition for their achievements, outstanding contribution and service to Birmingham. By recognising the value they bring, we aim to instil pride in Birmingham’s people and communities, thereby encouraging the next generation of inspirational leaders to accomplish more positive change in our great city.
What
Seven Third Sector leaders will be recognised and presented with an ‘Outstanding Contribution to Birmingham’ Local Leaders Award 2016 for making a positive social impact on the city. An independent judging panel will select these seven winners from received nominations.
Sponsoring the Local Leaders Awards 2016 is a fantastic way to show your support and appreciation for Birmingham’s Third Sector whilst raising the profile and awareness of your organisation.
We have a range of sponsorship packages, offering a variety of opportunities throughout the promotional schedule. This includes your organisations branding on our website, social media, in the event brochure and at the event itself. Additionally, organisations can pitch a stall and showcase a promotional video. Sponsors will also receive free tickets to the event along with the opportunity to present an award.
Your sponsorship support will contribute towards the costs of putting on this event; venue hire, catering, photography, video, print, award trophies, promotional material, stage and hall decor and more.
Over 150 guests will be invited, including dignitaries, nominees, the judging panel, press, our sponsors, guest speakers and our fellow citizens of Birmingham.
During the event money will be raised for the Aspire@BCH programme, which is an enterprise run by Birmingham Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This initiative aims to offer young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with greater life opportunities.
