Oud extraordinaire - Le Trio Joubran Live in Toronto's Legendary Massey Hall on July 16 - The Long March Tour
Three brothers, three ouds. Samir, Wissam and Adnan have been touring the world with their ouds for the past twenty years, most recently playing their highly anticipated new album The Long March.
Through their mesmerizing songs, they attempt to honour the struggles and oppression of indigenous peoples around the world, and they see their music as part of the Palestinian people’s effort for recognition and liberation. The three brothers form a Trio, a rare thing in oud music, and it’s through the oud (or Arabic lute) which they have become one.
Their new record The Long March is a landmark for the band, continuing to combine musical worlds with collaborations from Roger Waters and poet Mahmoud Darwish. Rock solos meet synths and Arabic verse; brooding and beautiful, contemplative and joyous.

MARSM Canada, meaning an ‘Arts Studio’ in Arabic, is a concert producer, event organizer, and at its core, a cultural curator rooted in amplifying the vibrant arts and music scene of the Arabic-speaking world.
MARSM Canada is a newly founded company and is an extension of MARSM UK. Since its founding in 2015, MARSM UK has established an expansive events network across the UK, Europe and beyond, uniting artists, venues, festivals and cultural organizations.
For us, the arts and music are not just a reflection of culture, but also a catalyst for change. By creating and promoting extraordinary arts that challenge the mainstream (mis)representation of the Arab diaspora, we aim to build new global networks, spark ideas, enable reflection and unite communities, forging a bold future for the creative arts and Canadian society as a whole.
