About the event

Kolkata Youth Theatre Festival 2018 is the 4th edition of the annual theatre festival of Shriek of Silence.  The festival began in the year 2014. In the very first year the festival hosted 7 days and had broken all records of being the first youth theatre group to have receoved 25 press media articles in its very first year. 
The next year the festival saw big names such as Chandan Sen, Pranati Tagore, Shantilal Mukherjee and other being a part of the festival. It become the first youth theatre group to stage its play in the very prestigious Academy of Fine Arts.
2016 saw eminent names like Srijit Mukherjee, Paramita Saha, Swarup Dutta to come on board for the events to make the festival a huge success with over 15 days of events. 

2018 is the year where we are organising a very compact two month long festival. The festival starts from January 6th with its unique onground activations and hits the auditoriums from the 18th of January with three events in January and 3 events in February. 
This year we will have eminent names from the tollywood industry such as Sohini Sengupta, Sudipta Chakroborty, Churni Ganguly, Nabarun Bose, Rj Ayantika, be on stage for the festival. 
With the 6 days of events attached with the festival and 7 days of on ground activation, it makes a huge platform for brands to come on board and having their own activation done. Huge space for branding with an average footfall of 3500+ and over 10,00,000 reack in all around Kolkata.(Social media and onground)

The event's on ground activation starts from the 6th of January and will be hosting an event for 7 days at a stretch, at our own studio, thus we can provide huge amount of branding to the brand. 

This year there are 6 days of the festival with 1 press launch of the event. These days will take place in Gyan Manch, Kalamandir, ICCR and the Nandan Chhatar. On-Ground taking place on the streets of Kolkata and the SOS Circle.

Shriek of Silence Team

We are Shriek of Silence. We are a theatre group based out of Kolkata was formed back in 2012. We started our journey as being the contingent group from Asutosh College. After a winning stroke in almost all college fest, Shriek of Silence took its step towards its first Public Show with the American Best Seller Vagina Monologues on stage. 
Today we have completed a successful first run of 5 years and have taken a step into establishing ourselves as the first of its kind theatre startup of India. We are associated with varioud institutes, schools, colleges and corporates from around the city and curate theatre realted festivals and events for them.
