About the event
Recently I got to thinking: where will our next great athlete come from? As history would suggest, we simply don't know where in the world, or in what discipline we might find the next great. But we can say, with all certainty, that the key is held by the future generations - our children.
KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process we provide grants so they can play a season of sport. Nationally, KidSport is comprised of a network of 11 provincial/territorial KidSport chapters and 178 community KidSport chapters. Since its creation in 1993, over 530,000 kids across the country have been given the chance to play sport through KidSport grants and sport introduction programming.
On 26th March 2016 our project team, comprised of UBC Sauder business school students, are organising a bubble soccer tournament for the general public with 100% of profits of this 1 day event going KidSport.
We are looking for sponsors for this event, who can offer financial support to help us make this event a reality and achieve our donation goal of over $1000 dollars
