About the event

Arts On Stage, Ltd. is a non-profit organization presenting live, professional, educational theatre as field trips for Maryland students for the past 24 years. We reach an audience of approximately 55,000 – 85% being children per season, and we want to reach more.

Arts On Stage, Ltd. presents approximately 56 shows a year with professional local, national and world renown theatre groups, presented at two theatres; Goucher College in Towson and Maryland Hall in Annapolis.  Our productions include theatrical plays,music, dance, drama, storytelling, math, science, health, fairy and folk tales,women studies, black history, holiday, and cultural shows. All of our shows have curriculum components and study guides that enable teachers and homeschools to further advance the educational aspects in the classroom.

Our mission is to stimulate, encourage, educate, and promote interest in live theatre of all types to children of all ages.

It is one thing to read in a text book about what has happened in history, or about a culture, or about math and science, but it’s amazing and memorable when you experience it live on stage! Arts On Stage, Ltd.providing these educational theatre field trips to students in Maryland, allows teachers/parents to keep the arts in the schools! We need support in order to keep it going for the next 25 years and beyond.
