Just-A-Chance Alumni Basketball League,

About the event

              We are excited to announce the 7th annual Alumni Basketball League, held June 20th through August 4^th, 2017 at Bayard Rustin High School.  Our leagues have been a staple in the community for the last six years given former players the opportunities to recreate good memories with former teammates.  We have had many area schools represented over the years. Henderson, Rustin, W.C. East, Downingtown West, Church Farm, Great Valley, Delco Christian, Kennett, Coatesville have all had teams over the years. All of our scores are posted in the Daily Local so your company and or organization name will appear in the sports section at least twice a week during the summer months.

              As we begin our 7th year, we are looking for sponsorship opportunities, specifically in our Chester County community.  Our sponsorship donations will go towards the league t-shirts (Uniforms), score keepers, referees, organizational and marketing aspects of running a 1^st class event.  Below are the sponsorship levels:

Dear Potential Sponsors,

It is with great interest that I’m writing to introduce myself as the organizer and director of the Just-A-Chance Alumni League.  I have extensive experience in community outreach, coaching, mentoring and I am an advocate for high character and moral standards.  I firmly believe a community that fosters discipline, strong moral conduct, commitment and character leads to success in the community as well. These qualities provide a foundation for the creation of college graduates, enthusiastic alumni and community leaders. 

 

During my 11 years as the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach and mentor at Bayard Rustin High School in West Chester, Pa, I have witnessed 100% of all the boys on the basketball team go on to college.

Through high school these guys have created life long bonds with each other, and when they come home from college, they would all converge here at the high school to reconnect over their love for basketball.

That is when I got the idea to start the alumni league and so the Just-A-Chance Alumni League was born.
