About the event
After the very successful first year of Jurassic fields music festival we are now looking to start fund raising, booking bands and forming a much needed committee for next years festival
Next years festival will be held on 11th July 2015.
We feel that all bands that played at this years festival have benefited from the promotion the festival have given their bands and this is one of our aims of the festival.
As you are probably aware the festival is not for profit and as it grows we wish to invest any return in promoting local bands and ultimately provide money to setup a local music studio run by volunteers that would be made available for any artist wishing to benefit from this resource.
The feedback has been amazing this year and the footfall was about 1200 this year with the expectation of this growing by at least another 50% this year if not more.
As a first year we made a slight loss which was disappointing but realised from the feedback and support of the local authorities this is going to grow into something special as the years go by.
Although we had a lot of sponsorship from local companies we are looking for some mainstream companies with an interest for such events to get involved and provide much needed support as well as promote their company in the process.
We would also like the festival to act as a model for other communities in supporting their local musical talent.
