This information is provided in hopes that you and/or your business will be interested in sponsoring an event that takes place every year in June.
The event is “The Junior Norris 9 Ball Shoot Out” and it is the biggest pool tournament in the Texoma Area and it’s held in Wichita Falls, TX. This will be the 3rd year of the event.
Our first, last year 2014, was just a small tournament with local talent of 31 players to honor our hometown "Texas Legend" Junior Norris, Texas Billiards Hall of Famer. 2015 was a huge celebration and tournament. Junior Norris celebrated his 90th birthday in GRAND STYLE, surrounded by friends and family, the Wichita Falls community, and some great pool players for 2 days as FAST EDDY'S Billiards & Games of Wichita Falls, TX hosted an OUTSTANDING 64 PLAYER TOURNAMENT and VETERANS CELEBRATION!!!!!
At the event in June 2015, Junior and his two older brothers (ALL WWII VETERANS) were presented with their full military honors/medals/ribbons they had never received from the US Military. Also, each of the three men was presented Honorary High School Diplomas from Wichita Falls High School. Their diplomas were awarded because each of the men left school before graduation to join the military to serve our county during WWII.
The preceding two years of the event, the Norris Family and Fast Eddy’s Billiards & Games of Wichita Falls funded everything. 2015 was an awesome event with 64 players, and more wanting a spot to show their talent, some of which came from as far as California and Nevada and Oregon to play. This has been a 2 day event and we provide everything that is needed. Since June 2015 we have been contacted by so many people ( many professional players) who are already signing up to ensure a spot in the 2016 tournament. 2016 Event has been expanded to 128 player bracket plus a 32 player women's competition and 3 days of play.
Now, down to business. We are asking individuals and businesses to sponsor the event in hopes to make next year’s tournament even better. This is what the options are:
