The Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House was founded in 1902 as a settlement house to provide services to help immigrants assimilate into American culture. Located in the historic birthplace and residence of celebrated feminist, author, and transcendentalist, Margaret Fuller, the house has stood as a beacon of hope and acceptance for thousands of residents for over 100 years. The house sits in the "Port" community, one of the most ethnically diverse neighborhoods in Cambridge. The MFNH offers innovative programs through a holistic view that touches the lives of more than 8,000 individuals and families annually in Cambridge and surrounding communities. The Food Pantry, youth services, and community advancement program are the three integrated pillars of service in which MFNH fulfills its mission. The mission of the Margaret Fuller House is to provide integrated services to individuals and families to empower them to overcome challenges, reach their potential and achieve their goals.
