Joanna Duff Video Premiere benefiting Wags & Walks,

About the event

Join us to celebrate the single release and video premiere of Joanna Duff's new song "Other Than You" while supporting the Wags & Walks organizaton.

The music video, directed by Dustin Jacobs, features a storyline around adopting a rescue dog, and stars Esther Lane, Max Lichtig as well as a rescue dog, a chow shepherd mix named Samson Marvin. 

Founded in 2011 by Lesley Brog, Wags & Walks was started to break the stigma that rescue dogs are damaged goods, and to help decrease the number of euthanized dogs in local Los Angeles shelters. Wags and Walks opened their West LA adoption center in January 2018, allowing the organization to double the amount of dogs they save annually and providing additional volunteering opportunities for the community. 

We'll have adoptable dogs onsite from Wags & Walks and 15% of all food and drinks sales will go back to the organization.

Joanna Duff

Joanna Duff is a singer-songwriter based out of Los Angeles. California born and Southern bred, she is known for her unique tone, relaxing vocals and emotion-filled lyrics that blend together with acoustic guitar, strings and keys. She started writing her own music and playing open mic nights while attending the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Her debut album "We Are the Lucky Ones," produced by Sean McPherson, was released in 2015 and has gained her fans from around the globe. The album is dedicated to her late father.

Duff is passionate in using her musical talents to support philanthropy. She is an avid supporter of the Songs for Kids Foundation and animal rescue organizations. She has performed in the Songs for Kids “500 Songs for Kids” fundraiser since 2009 and is a regular volunteer at LA-based dog adoption center, Wags & Walks.

For her latest single, "Other Than You," Duff teamed up with LA-based producer Kyle Burke to evolve her sound into a richer, dreamier, moodier feel while remaining true to her folk roots. Proceeds from the song’s release and video will benefit Wags & Walks.

Joanna performed regularly at Atlanta’s Smith’s Olde Bar in Midtown with ‘The Lucky Ones’ band Ann Moceyunas (cello), Sanjay Kothari (lead guitar and background vocals) and Jennifer Tullar (background vocals).
