About the event

International Women Achievers’ Awards to consider the role played by women in community development, 18 prominent women achievers were selected to receive the International Women Achievers’ Awards (IWAA) in the year 2016.  The awards will be given to them during the IWAA Night   scheduled for 6 pm on March 05, 2016 at the Jamaican Canadian Association, 995 Arrow Road, Toronto, Ontario. The 2016 Awards will be dedicated to Global awareness to POSITIVE BODY IMAGE for women and young women.

The mission of the IWAA, established in 2010 is to acknowledge and honor the accomplishments and contributions of women in world-wide community development. The IWAA usually holds during the International Women’s month, to acknowledge and honor women who have excelled in different spheres of life.  The ceremony underscores the paramount role played by women in society while appreciating their attitudes, initiatives, will-power and perseverance. These are women who have distinguished themselves as prominent citizens, who could show their mettle equal to men and some even superior to men, in any field of endeavor.

The purpose of IWAA is to empower young women, so they too can reach their goals.  The IWAA brings together women from across the globe and recognizes their accomplishments.
