About the event

Organised in close cooperation with Finance Montréal, the 2014 International Conference on Innovation for Financial Services will be held in the Palais des congrès de Montréal, October 16-17, 2014. It is jointly organised with FinTech, a leading forum for IT and Finance experts.

Innovation for Financial Services is a series of specialized international events for people working with innovation in the financial services sector and surrounding industries. The aim is to visit prime financial services centers across the world, building connections between financial services professionals, consultants, ICT experts, policy makers and academics and enabling them to present and discuss the latest developments relating to innovations for, and within, the financial services sector.

Innovation in and for financial services is a multidimensional and multipolar phenomenon expressed in various forms, practices and typologies. The financial services sector is a foundational sector of the worldwide economy seeking solutions and best practices to embrace innovation and face the multipolar challenges of the 21st century global and constantly changing economy.

Montréal is a leading financial center in North America, and has demonstrated its strength through its stability during the recent financial turmoil. The international character of Montréal, its pro-business and dynamic environment and multicultural workforce are well known to its various business partners. As with the previous editions, Innovation for Financial Services 2014 will deal with innovation in financial services under all of its possible forms. This allows covering a large spectrum of the research and practitioner activities in innovation for financial services.

The Organizing Committee is diligently working on bringing the most knowledgeable academics and researchers from all over the world, as well as leaders in the financial services sector to explore these important topics. This conference comprises of two days full of sessions on cutting edge issues related to the financial services sector and there are also many opportunities for networking and socializing.

The 2014 International Conference Innovation for Financial Services aims at:

1. Providing a cross-cultural networking platform for Innovation for Financial Services practitioners and academics from all over the world
2. Discussing cutting-edge topics on innovation for financial services and paving the way of the future of the financial services sector

Expected audience is mainly practitioners from financial services and related industries (leading ICT firms, market research etc), academics and policy makers. Mainly C-level or direct reports to C-level, from innovation, organisation, marketing, front office, IT departments. This conference clearly differentiates itself from other leading conferences which are exclusively either practitioner or academic oriented.

Contributions from academic, research, consulting, industry, intermediary and policy organizations are strongly encouraged and welcomed. Furthermore, we are particularly interested in welcoming case studies, proposals for interactive workshops, product/service/application demonstrations etc.

This conference is non-commercial so presenters and delegates fees are there to cover the costs of excellent social events, catering and organization.
