Indie Tangle Arts Fest Kickoff,

Fulton Street Collective, Chicago, Illinois, United States Fulton Street Collective, Chicago, Illinois, United States

  • About the event

Indie Tangle is a new Chicago-based arts festival that invites independent and emerging artists to submit their work for a chance to win a $3000-value video that will be produced by a team of independent filmmakers. The video can be a documentary, music video, or any genre of short film. When it is complete, it will premiere at the festival and be posted to a variety of platforms for added exposure. The judging process will be a combination of public voting and a panelist decision. The competition will open for submissions on August 1st and decisions will be announced on December 1st. This particular event is Indie Tangle's kickoff, where we'll be featuring a variety of music performances, art galleries and screenings (including the premiere of the music video Eden Ames worked on as mentioned in the organizer's "about" section.

    Why should you sponsor?

Sponsors of Indie Tangle will benefit from visibility before a highly targeted demographic. Most attendees of Indie Tangle are going to be young taste-makers and artists who are attracted to grassroots campaigns and events such as this one. You wil also be gaining press and blog coverage from reputable sources who will be attending the event. Depending on the sponsorship level selected, you may also have an on-site presence with your own booth to promote your products and services.

    Eden Ames

Eden Ames is a Chicago-based producer and director. In 2012, she won first place in the National Coalition Against Censorship's Free Expression Film Competition with her short film "Waking". Currently, she works as a freelance producer, director and editor for a variety of genres and types of film, including (but not limited to) music videos, documentaries, web series, short narratives and motion graphics. She also dabbles in production design and motion graphics.

Eden Ames came up with Indie Tangle after collaborating with a small Chicago-based rock band to make an ambitious, high-concept music video. The experience inspired Indie Tangle for two reasons: the first being that independent artists put a tremendous amount of effort into their visions, and the second being the realization that collaboration leads to greater exposure.
