About the event

Inquivesta is one of the largest science fest of India and the largest in West Bengal. It will be back with its 8th edition on February 2-4,2018. Last year it witnessed a footfall of 4000+ participants including participation from outside the countries. Inquivesta reaches out to 10,000 plus college students. This is year the highlight of the fest will be a live mega performance by INDIAN OCEAN, an internationally aclaimed band credited with pioneering the fusion rock genre in India. Apart from this there will be a battle of band competition- RAMBLE ON prior to their performance which will be judged by the members of Indian Ocean itself. The competition will witness some of the best bands from prominent colleges of the country and Kolkata region and has high prize money for the winners. We need sponsors for the both the concert and battle of band event.   

Why should you sponsor?

• Indian Institute Of Science Education And Research Kolkata (IISER-K) was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.IISER-K completed its 10 years of existence in 2016 and with this milestone it has embarked on a new journey to set its mark in the history of Indian education.
• The major interest for any company is in the fact that any kind of Sponsorship in form of Cheque or Demand Draft is eligible for 50% Tax reduction under the section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961.
• The campus is situated near Kalyani in West Bengal. It is fast growing into an educational hub with national institutes such as IISER and foundation of institute like AIIMS being laid down. It has more than 10 colleges including IIIT and WBUT and 20 schools in vicinity. Association with IISER Kolkata, an institute of national importance (INI) provides an opportunity to reach to these student bodies.
• After seven successful renditions, IISER-K will be organizing the 8^th edition of INQUIVESTA in 2018. It has proved to be one of the largest science fest of India and the largest science fest of West Bengal.
• This edition’s projected footfall is over 6,000. In the previous editions we have had a footfall of over 3,500 students from 50 plus colleges in the country and also witnessed participation from foreign colleges.

• Online and offline publicity shall reach out to more than 1,00,000 people who will see the name of your company as sponsors of one of the most prominent science fest of the country. Our facebook page has reached 8k likes and this number is growing exponentially day by day.
• Your company will share electronic and print media coverage with us in leading newspapers and magazines.
• In this edition we are planning to do something new by introducing innovative and attractive events such as Paradigm- a science outreach program (exhibition/workshops/talks) for school students, Ramble On- Battle of Bands, Futsal- a mini football tournament as well as reviving some unique events such as Black Book – graffiti painting challenge etc. For introducing these along with hosting other events we need your support. 
• You will get to interact with a large and diverse audience including many leading scientists of the country as well as many budding scientists, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts from diverse fields.

I am Estuti, a second year college student at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata(IISER-K). I am the sponsorship head of our fest Inquivesta-8, which is lined up for February 2-3,2018.
