About the event

The idea for igniteFAIR began in early 2014 to help students learn about the hundreds of non-profit, youth-run, and volunteer organizations across Ontario that provide opportunities to get involved. Each organization holds their own booth at igniteFAIR, staffed by representatives to talk about its mission, programs, campaigns; so that young people will feel inspired and empowered to take action.

Since our inaugural event in October 2014, the event has attracted attention from all across Canada, with plans to host similar igniteFAIRs in cities across the country in the near future. It is our goal to ignite the altruistic instinct in people to get involved in their communities.

igniteFAIR is an initiative of Pledges for Change, a youth-led, non-profit organization and movement that aims to engage and empower people of all ages, but especially youth, across Canada and around the world to become the leaders of tomorrow.
