  • About the event

The problem of child sexual abuse is not insurmountable -- but it does require a new kind of social courage and mindful leadership. Thanks to newfound attention stemming from the Larry Nassar trial to the Boston Globe's Spotlight coverage, we are seeing a new breed of social and corporate leaders willing to invest in prevention and lead important conversations to protect children.

Join U.S. Champion Gymnast, Aly Raisman, and hundreds of leading child advocates for the 3rd annual IGNITE National Prevention Conference in Boston, MA, October 7-9.

IGNITE has grown into the nation’s top child sexual abuse prevention conference, bringing together national and international representatives from over 200 organizations and communities. IGNITE webcasts and presentation videos are made available in addition to the live conference. This year’s theme is COURAGE and the conference offers four tracks – individual, organizational, public health, and legal. With an empowering and positive tone, there is something for everyone.

Attendees include corporate leaders in courage such as Malouf, Select Equity Group, Cornerstone, and Eastern Bank, along with field experts and advocates including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), the National Child Advocacy Center (NCAC), Joyful Hearts Foundation, Child USA, Ashley Be Brave, Girls on the Run, the Beau Biden Foundation, Ford Family Foundation, Monique Burr Foundation, the Child Safety Coalition, Jeevan Adhar, SCARS Bermuda, and many more.

    Why should you sponsor?

Child sexual abuse prevention is quickly becoming the 'IT' topic in the news, documentaries and films, and in organizations and corporations across the U.S. Darkness to Light's leadership on this issue and partnership with influencers including Aly Raisman, HBO, YUSA, Buzzfeed, and more, make Darkness to Light a viable and attractive partner.

Darkness to Light's email and social media reach is over 400,000, including many high-net-worth individuals such as donors.

We anticipate garnering significant media attntion through our upcoming #FliptheSwitch campaign to protect child athletes.

Our conference audience is a mix of business leaders of corporations, clubs, nonprofits, schools, and youth-serving organizations. They typically value community, protection, human rights, health, and wellness.
