  • About the event

Isaac Generation Children's Ministry is a group of volunteer teachers with a huge heart for the community. Many of their good works are accomplished through community partnerships and donations from people like you.

For the third consecutive year, they aim to provide free backpacks, school supplies, diagnostic and screening health services, and a day of fun to families in the Southwest Houston Community.

The goal is to provide 1,000 FREE pre-filled backpacks!!

The funds raised will be used for purchasing school supplies, rentals, food, fun, media/advertising, and other associated costs.

Last year was super fun!. This year's event promises to be even better.

We provide FREE backpacks with school supplies, FREE diagnostic and screening health services (including ADHD screening and back to school immunizations*) on site! FREE food! FREE drinks! There will be fun activities including, moonwalk, 18ft water slide, 42 ft obstacle course, face paintings, water games and more!.

To learn more about the event search @IGABacktoSchool on facebook.

    Why should you sponsor?

It's tough getting kids ready for the school year. The average family spends close to $700 during a school year. Some of the expenses are incured from school supplies, clothing, backpacks, hair cuts , school activities and the list goes on. Children in the southwest area are in great need. According to department of health and human services, a family of four is considered  in poverty if it earns less than $23,850 a year. The median family income of children attending alief ISD (located in southwest Houston) is $37,440. In 2013, 37.2% of students in Alief ISD live below the poverty level.

Secondly, we are providing a day of fun at no cost to attendees. With close to 20 parks surrounding the Houston area, namely Typhoon texas, NASA tour, wet and wild, moody gardens, Schillterbahan, six flags and so on, many of which general admission rates remain unaffordable. For the benefit of some children who likely never have a chance to visit any of those parks, we decide to put this together for them. Isaac Generation as a corporation is no stranger to Corporate Social Responsibility as for the past 8 years we have been feeding the community. The back to school drive is an initiative of the children's ministry that is not self funded. We desire the support of child development advocates such as yourself to assist us in building a stronger tomorrow by influencing the lives of children.
