HOSPITALITY ,CATERING & TOURISM,

London, United Kingdom London, United Kingdom

  • About the event

Docklands Academy London (DAL) was established in 2009 as a Higher Education Institution and has been operational in Canary Wharf, London, since 2011.

DAL is the only member school from the UK of the European Association of Hospitality and Tourism (AEHT), an International Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) created in 1988, enjoying a consultative status with the Council of Europe. The prime objective of the Association is to promote a European outlook among Hotel and Tourism Schools, by providing communication and encouraging exchanges among these schools, by creating closer links between schools and businesses as well as developing networking not only in Europe but throughout the world.

DAL will be hosting the 51st Annual Conference of the AEHT in London between 24-28 October, 2016. Between 500-700 participants, consisting of teachers and students of member schools attend AEHT annual conferences, where students have competitions in several categories of catering, hospitality and tourism, the winners being awarded medals.

As the host school, DAL is very ambitous to turn it into a London Olympics of Tourism and Hospitality. Since annual Conferences of AEHT are always financed through the limited fees from the participants which are far from meeting the requirements of such a big event, the hosting schools need many sponsors to organise it.

The sponsors can have stands, banners in the Conference or offer sponsorship for the winners of awards.

The prime objective of the association is to promote a European outlook among Hotel and Tourism Schools

    • by providing a means of communication between European Hotel and Tourism Schools
    • by making more widely known the information about hospitality education in other countries
    • by encouraging exchanges of students and teachers
    • by creating closer links between schools and businesses

AEHT  has a membership of around 430, with an AEHT national representative in 44 European countries.

Therefore we need any kind of contribution. As there will be different categories that students will be competing, such as Tourism and travel destination, Culinary arts, Receptionists, bartender, Barista etc.

We would like to encourage the sponsors to come forward and propose their options as per the budget available.

Please feel free to have one to one discussion with our team or you can contact me for further information.

    Kind Regards
