About the event
The first annual Heroes On The Water 5K Run & Walk will be held on October 12, 2019, participants will run or walk through the beautiful Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Participants have the option of registering for a timed run or an untimed walk.
This race will be benefiting the Treasure Coast Heroes On The Water Chapter, 50% of all net proceeds will be donated to the chapter. Heroes on the Water, a 501(c)(3) veterans charity, creates alternative therapeutic programs to serve veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders and their families. These experiential programs incorporate structured activities proven to improve the lives of these men and women. Each experience reduces the impact of post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury while providing much-needed camaraderie and support.
