About the event
The Helen Holiday Half Marathon & 10k is a premier Run Bum Tours race event that is held annually on Thanksgiving weekend. The trail race start and finish is located at Unicoi State Park in Helen, GA, where ample parking and promotional space (giant field can accommodate 750+ cars and 1,250+ participants) is available for post-race activities. Coordinated with the start of the holiday lights display in the Bavarian alpine town of Helen, this race attracts runners and families from all over the Southeast to experience the vast beauty of the North Georgia Mountains, as well as all of the festivities and local charm that Helen has to offer. As one of the shorter and less technical Run Bum race events, the Helen Holiday Half & 10k targets not only seasoned and moderate trail runners, but Run Bum also focuses on marketing to newcomer trail runners looking to try out a new terrain and challenge their limits of EPICNESS.
