HEARTBEAT, The Conference, is a two-day gathering where nearly 200 millennial(s) (most of which are college students and young professionals) will gather at the SFC Auditorium on the college campus of Temple University to abandon all we know to encounter Christ- undefiled and uninterrupted. Through this gathering, we will get back to the simplicity and the authenticity of Christian living. We present Christ in a personal, radical, and relevant way; giving life-guiding principles to strengthen everyday living. This conference stands poised to deal with various angles of life such as: vision building, the emotional and mental well being of millennial leaders, to promoting unity transcending status, racial and religious upbringings, and finally reconnecting back to God.
Barna Group and Lifeway Research found that over one-third of millennial(s) no longer identify with religion as reported via Huffington Post and New York Times. Research has concluded that among millennial(s) (ages 18-35), for the first time in history, more people will leave Christianity than in any other generation. Additionally, Millennial(s) are leaving church and Christianity, and are unfortunately not coming back. As a result, we see a great moral decline as evident in our world around us. This disconnect unfortunately has made us distant from authenticity. It is the vision of HEARTBEAT to respond to such cause.
