About the event
One of the big opportunities we will be involved in is participating in labs offered at the JUMP Simulation Center. The JUMP Trading Simulation and Education Center is an outstanding place to really dive deep into Medical Science, and we would really like to provide the best experiences for our Health Career Club members as they discover their passions in Medicine. This year, we are planning on holding a big event that will surely get members excited! We are hoping to spend a couple of hours at the JUMP Simulation Center to participate in a variety of short sessions each involving different medical-related topics. The club will be split up into smaller groups and rotate in different stations beginning with a welcome and introductions with the staff who will be educating us throughout this event. The different stations include: a tour of the JUMP Center, a Manikin Orientation, a Heart and Lung Demo, Emergency Services Skills, and a final Wrap-Up along with a Q&A at the end! We are looking for financial sponsors to help us cover the costs of this event.

Anneth HapeHello! My name is Anneth Hape, and I am the President of the Health Career Club at Peoria Notre Dame High School.
The Father of Medicine and first physician, Hippocrates, said, “Wherever the art of Medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity.” This is deeply rooted in the heart of the Peoria Notre Dame Health Career Club. Our mission is to educate students about the various careers in Medicine and their importance to improve the quality of human life.
We are committed to helping students gain knowledge and skills that are applicable to different careers in the diverse field of Medicine. Our strong focus is to enlighten the minds of students with career aspirations in Medicine. We provide learning through different methods that include: presentations, guest speakers, lab simulations, virtual shadowing, and many more! Additionally, we work closely with the JUMP Trading Simulation and Education Center to provide lab activities. In collaboration with the PND Red Cross Club, we want to strengthen the students with the knowledge and understanding of Healthcare and Emergency Preparedness. It is ingrained in our love for humanity that the Health Career Club promotes community service through volunteering, so we provide volunteer opportunities for our members.
