Hazon Philadelphia is excited to announce that the 3rd annual Philadelphia Jewish Food Festival (co-hosted by Congregation Keneseth Israel and Congregation Kol Ami) will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Keneseth Israel in Elkins Park, PA. We invite you to join the Greater Philadelphia community by sponsoring the Food Festival.
The Food Festival represents the intersection of Judaism, food, and the environment and welcomes attendees ranging from foodies, farmers, nutritionists, writers, chefs, home cooks, restaurateurs, entrepreneurs, educators, rabbis and more. This year’s theme, “Between Farm and Table,” focuses on the origins and journey of our food. Session topics will include sustainable farming practices, food justice and access, Jewish text study, DIY cooking and gardening, and more. Last year, over 300 diverse participants attended the Food Festival, and we expect over 350 participants in 2015.
Hazon, founded in 2000, is America’s largest Jewish environmental organization. Hazon, meaning “vision” in Hebrew, aims to create healthier and more sustainable communities in the Jewish world and beyond.
