Speed sells in today’s society and that’s why SixFour Promotions is hosting the first annual Harbor Town Showdown at the Manitowoc Speedway on Friday July, 3rd, 2015. 900 horsepower and 1400 pound open wheeled 410 sprint cars are the premier division in the country along with
the Interstate Racing Association as the premier series in Wisconsin. With speeds reaching close to 120mph on Manitowoc’s 1/3 mile track, it was a no brainer that this event had to happen to kick off the Independence Day Weekend! This will be the first time in over 12 years that the IRA 410 Outlaw sprints have invaded the Manitowoc Speedway. This event will be a blast for the entire crowd as these 410 sprint cars rocket around the track. A new track record will be set without a doubt! Edge of your seat entertainment will be an understatement after you witness the premier division of the country storm around Manitowoc Speedway.
Three other divisions will be supporting the IRA 410 Outlaw Sprints on this evening. The first class will be the Grand National stock car division. A weekly ran class at Manitowoc that brings bumper to bumper racing action every lap of every race. These drivers will be chasing an increased purse as the class will be racing for $500 to win! Following the grand nationals will be the IMCA style Northern Sport Modified division. These drivers put on a fantastic show as it is a crate motor division which makes racing extremely close and action filled all event long. Sport mods will be racing for a $500 to win A-main grand prize. To round out the nights’ division will be the INEX Legend Cars. These 5/8-scale 1930-1940 replica race cars are powered by a motorcycle engine and buzz around the track surprisingly quick. Drivers in the legend division will race their way to a $300 payday in the A-main event.
Start off the Independence Day Holiday on July 3rd, 2015 at the Manitowoc Speedway with some grassroots dirt track racing! Action will start with the Grandstands opening at 3PM with a driver autograph session at 4PM. IRA 410 Outlaw Sprints time trials will begin at 6:30PM and racing to follow! Sponsors will be able to set up booths on the midway to show off their products and hand out information all night long to all attendees. This is an exclusive opportunity to all marketing partners of the Harbor Town Showdown event. Race fans are brand loyal to companies who support motorsports events.
