About the event
Hello, My name is Desiree Lanzo. Four years ago I was a victim of a physical and emotional abusive relationship. I revealed my involvement in an abusive relationship during my speech of my very first mural unveiling. Although the speech wasn't aired on the news the unveiling aired on the 4th of September 2015 at 4pm.
I would like to help out other people that are in or was involved in a physical/emotional abusive relationship. No one should go through this alone. I still to this day have affects of abuse. By raising awareness to my peers and young adults I would hope to shed light on people who know or are involved in an abusive relationship. Knowing young adults enjoy music I will be hosting a Halloween party that will incorporate art. I have musicians, DJs, singers, and performance dancers who will volunteer their time and perform. Getting the funding for the venue is all I would need to make this happen.
